We get all kinds of images. A lot of times they are from social media programs that alter original image sizes to fit the scope of the website they are a member of. It is important to send us original shots BEFORE you put them on social media. Please don't send us images from sites like Instagram.
Give or take. It can be a little bigger or smaller. Just not too much.
Dots Per Inch. This is the image quality of the picture. Choose the highest resolution setting you can use on your camera or phone. Feel free to send us artistic or black and white imagery as well. But include the originals.

SK8 Magazine cannot accept any images that have already been published to another magazine or sports related website (personal social media is OK). We prefer original content.
All riders and Photographers DESERVE credit for the images they submit. So it is vitally important that you include the following information with photos of each individual rider and/or shot.
* Not all images received will be used in the current production of the magazine. Some images may be used at a later date or time. Not all photo submissions will receive free magazines. Only images used in the printed version of the magazine will recieve free issues. Riders and/or photographers will be notified by email or Instagram if their images are chosen for print. Publisher reserves the right to change this at any time without notice. it is the responsibility of the rider or photographer submitting the images to provide the caption, rider and photographer inofmation correctly. SK8 Magazine cannot be held liable for incorrect submitted information or information not recieved in time for the captions. Photographers are responsible for the subject matter of their images. ** Sponsor captions conditional upon advertising.
A lot of the time, we have already hand-picked a Feature local rider or two to put in our magazine alongside all of the awesome rider submitted images. Often enough though, we at SK8 Skateboarding Magazine, will recieve some seriously cool shots directly from you guys that we just HAVE to give more love to. These will become our FEATURE riders. That's right, they aren't pros, they are locals, just like you and I. You can get a referral from your local shop as well. So talk to them.
These feature riders will recieve a multipage photo layout in the magazine, a rider interview (done remotely online), their sponsor info in the mag (if they have them), and if they are lucky, the front cover of the magazine. You will either get magazines through the skater-owne d business, photographer, or local skateshop that referred you or sent your images, or you will get them shipped directly from us for FREE!
Simple, purchase a full page ad from SK8 Skateboarding Magazine for a minimum of two issues or a half page ad for a minimum of three issues or a quarter page ad for 6 issues and we will feature one of your team riders with all of your sponsor information. You may pay to submit a feature rider, but you may as well purchase the ad and get free magazines as well.
You rider may also submit regluar images for free. But sponsor information will not be added to any of the captions.
